We formed in spring ’06 to promote the integration and visibility of the existing community of queer bike riders. Our opening ride was the NYC Pride Parade. We have continued to take part in the annual Pride Parades of NYC, Brooklyn & Queens.
This season we’ll be doing a ride a month including several of the pride parades in June.
We’re also always looking for ride organizers!
If you have an idea for a ride small or large, to Coney island or to Canada, at night or during the day send us an email at dykesonbikecycles@gmail.com with the date, time and meet up location and we will forward it to the group!
All sexualities, gender identities and bike riding skills welcome to join!!
We need folks on foot to help give out flyers, stickers, and take pictures. Contact us if you’d like to do any of those.
